Comment by BillyD on WPF - Selector - Custom Control - SelectionChanged Event Not Firing

It looks like you are thinking of this as a user control. I may be wrong. In your example, the class in which OnApplyTemplate resides is a Selector. What I am looking for is a way to catch the RoutedEvent from either the TextBlock or Border in the ItemTemplate and feed it into the Selector base class so that it works its magic in telling me which Item was selected at the new custom control class level. Then, I can do whatever processing I need to before sending out an event to the window level that a selection changed has occurred.
